10 whole months

10 whole months! Mr. Nash is a happy, busy, busy boy - so much fun! It is awesome to see what new thing he will learn each day. We have to be sure to keep certain doors closed lately or he will end up eating dog food, playing in the toilet, pulling trash out, etc... I promise I keep a close eye on him - he is just so fast! He is cutting his 6th tooth now. His growth has slowed significantly. Don't get me wrong - he's still a chunk, but he's not gaining 1 lb a week anymore - probably b/c he's so busy!

We've been busy too! Mark is now the manager at the Enterprise store 10 minutes from our house. He sometimes gets to come home for lunch and no longer has to fight interstate traffic - YEA! We plan on staying around here for Christmas with Mark's family and then going to see my family around New Year's.

It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas!

We woke up to snow this morning!!! Nash was mesmorized! He stood at the window for 10 minutes. Nash had his 9 month check up today and he's healthy as can be! He's 21 lbs (50th %ile) and 29.5 inches long (90th %ile). We still have to steer clear of oatmeal for a while, but we can start adding some wheat products - wagon wheels and biter biscuits here we come! He loves feeding himself and making big messes (big sigh! but the OT in me knows this is a necessary developmental step). He's got sippy cups and straws down now. He has whole conversations with himself where he knows exactly what he's saying, but it sounds like "buh-buh da-da muh-muh" to me. I had to lower the crib mattress another level yesterday. I did it all by myself - and was quite proud of myself, until I realized I didn't know what the tool I was using was called (Wrench, maybe??? It fits a hexagon shaped bolt). He's officially crawling on all 4's now! He's so busy - crawling, pulling up, cruising! He killed my cell phone yesterday in the 1 minute that I left it on the coffee table and went to the bathroom. Oh well - I needed a new one anyways! I guess, if I could sum up motherhood and Nash in one word: PRECIOUS. I wouldn't trade one giggly/snotty/kissy/sleepy/poopy (ok, I could do w/o poopy) moment!

Thanksmas

We celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas (thus Thanksmas) with my family in Conroe this past week. We sure had a lot to be thankful for!

Sweet Jake

Please continue to keep him in your prayers. The last cardiologist appt showed that the membrane in his heart is growing back, therefore a 3rd heart surgery is looking likely. However, we have a Great Physician, and we are asking that He heals Jake's heart and that no further surgery is needed. Jake doesn't act like he has heart troubles - he acts like a busy, happy 2 yr old boy! Thank God for that!

Our long-time family friends, the Ciufo's, came over for Thanksgiving. Nash was enthralled by Dan playing the guitar. The kid loves music!!! Not sure he had much choice in that matter!
