RIP Canon Powershot

Dear little Canon camera,
I will miss you. These were your last shots before you drowned in the pool. I'm so sorry I forgot you were resting patiently in my lap when I jumped up to keep Nash from walking right off the edge into the water. I really tried to save you - the hairdryer, taking you apart to dry out for a few days - but apparently the asphyxiation was too great. I do have another camera, so, documenation of my little man will continue, but sadly, there will be no videos for a while. Excuse my insensitivity to your demise, but your replacement will be waterproof.

Cheryl, Kathy, and Mark (that's 2/3 sistas)
Kathy and her 3 precious boys came to visit from Tucson while they are waiting to move to their new house. So much fun to get the cousins together!

We went to Steve and Jana's house to hang out with Mark's family. The pool is effective at keeping all the cousins in one location while simultaneously wearing them out. That comes in handy with all of our rambunctious boys!

Could he get any cuter???

The new Gator was a HUGE hit at Grandma and Pawpaw's house! Here's Ethan, the responsible driver, and Jace, holding on for dear life!

Tyler driving and Chloe in the back - that spells DANGER!

First popsicle. Thanks, Pawpaw!

Memorial Day Weekend

We were really in need of some R&R, so we took off to the lake house on Caddo Lake over Memorial Day weekend. It was FABULOUS! Ty, Amy, and the kids stayed there with us so that made it extra special! Nash loved every minute of it and played so hard that he slept til almost 9 am every morning - that's MY kind of vacation!

How cute is she???

These next few pictures are just to show you why I love Caddo so much. It is so beautiful and peaceful. FYI: Caddo is the only natural lake in Texas. I think God made it extra special!

Alligator Bayou
Yes, there are alligators here. In fact, on this boat ride I realized our (now former) swimming hole was where we saw the alligator in April. That's why we stuck to the kiddie pool this trip!

The cute little lake house. Nash ran up and down this hill 20x a day!

They spent a lot of time playing on these steps. By the way: I love that the boys spent half the day in just their underwear - another sign of a good vacation!
