A Little Piece of Heaven

I cannot verbalize how much I love the beach  - ANY beach - yes, even Galveston! Not to be morbid or anything, but if I go to Heaven before you, please don't be sad because I'm pretty sure God is preparing a Cozumel-like beach and a few good books for me. We recently got back from one of the best vacations ever! We went to my brother's condo near St. Augustine, FL with our dear friends, the Nelsons. There were no plans and no schedule of any kind. Just LOTS of beach time, good food, and great company! We take a trip with the Nelsons every year, but this was the first time we brought the kiddos and I have to say, I'm so glad we did. I was SO excited to introduce Nash to the beach for the first time - and much to my satisfaction - he LOVED it! In fact, every morning when we would get him out of bed, he'd say, "We go to beach now?" That's pretty much how I felt too!

We started vacation off RIGHT - ice cream!!!

The view from the condo balcony does not suck

He's SO excited!

Sarah took this picture with her phone when Nash and I were looking for seashells - it might be my favorite pic of the whole trip!

One happy boy!!!

This is what Nash did NON-STOP - just ran and ran and ran on the beach!

The boys did a lot of surf fishing

A baby shark!!!

Nash thought the fishing gear made for a good potato gun

Oops - a poopie!

We also went to the alligator zoo - yes, those are real!

The kids found a stray alligator to pose with

Feeding the alligators - it started to freak me out a little after this!
