Mudbugs in Marshall

I am so blessed with a fabulous family! Seriously - God has really been good to us by making us closer the older we get. We went to Marshall last weekend b/c my niece, Elsie Jane, had her 4th birthday and my Dad had a crawfish boil (yum!), so, of course it was wonderful! We also went out on Caddo Lake on Sunday (and saw a big alligator in the Ox Bow again!), but I didn't have my camera with me for that. It is so laid back out there and it's nice to just slow down.

The siblings know a thing or two about eating crawfish!

The birthday girl, Elsie Jane! She's giving me a sassy pose!

Casey and Ty on Ty's new kayak - he couldn't wait to try it out on the pond!

Jolie (my brother Jason's wife) teaching Elsie Jane how to fish. That's a must in this family!

Nash had a blast b/c he was outside and free to roam! This is for the fam who hasn't seen how well he's walking yet. Busy boy these days!

Cruise and Camp

We just got back from a wonderful vacation! Mark and I went on a cruise with some friends while Nash went and stayed with Papa and JoJo (aka Camp JoJo). It was hard to actually pull the trigger and leave the house while Nash was napping, but once we got on the road to Galveston it was tons of fun! Our cruise was 5 days to Progresso and Cozumel. Good times!

Blackjack - I think Mark ended up paying for our entire trip

Poolside. I think this was just before Jill yacked - poor thing was seasick both days at sea

In Cozumel, I did the Dolphin Encounter. SOOO cool! Here is a short snippet of Chuck the dolphin giving me a boogie board ride - I giggled like a school girl!

Back in Conroe, I'm pretty sure Nash had just as much fun as we did! Mom took him everywhere - praise team practice, weight watchers, lunch with the girls, the fountains with the cousins, ice cream social at church, the park, etc... He might think its boring now that we're just doing laundry at home today. Nash had just started walking pretty well right before we left, and now he is RUNNING! He changed so much in a week - he's walking better, talking better, tan, and 2 lbs heavier. I'm really glad our cruise was not one day longer, b/c I was pretty ready to see my little man on Saturday. He just giggled and kept giving us kisses when we picked him up. So sweet! Here are a few of the pictures Mom took at Camp JoJo.
Playing at the fountains. He skinned his nose a couple of days before we left - the joys of toddlerhood!

Playing by the pool - a little cold to actually get in

Pushing the stroller is still a favorite pastime

Jesus ROCKS!

Now that Nash and I have finally entered the recovery stage after a nasty virus, it was nice to rejoin the land of the living yesterday. We had a really sweet Easter! Some of Mark's family went to church with us and then came over for lunch and egg hunting. Yeah - so Nash didn't really care that the eggs should go in the basket - he only cared that the candy should go in his mouth. I learned that candy maybe shouldn't go in EVERY egg, or at least maybe only one piece - I think I went a little overboard. Oh well - Happy Easter!!!! We're so glad death couldn't keep you, Jesus!

Grandma and Aunt Cheryl showing Nash the book that their voices were recorded in, so they can read him the story anytime. He was mesmerized by it!

OK, Mom, let's go hunt some eggs!

So, you want me to do what???

O wait! I think I hear something in here!

This is how you open an egg

Victory! Yes, that's chocolate running down my chin.
I don't think I get enough attention
