Fast and Furious

We are finally recovered from the holidays and back into the swing of things! Nash is developing like a normal healthy boy should - fast and furious! He's at the stage where you just can't take your eyes off of him for a minute. He definitely keeps us on our toes, but it is mostly fun! It's amazing how he seems to learn something new everyday. He loves getting into the cabinets, so Mark put cabinet locks on all but a few cabinets - I think I re-stocked the tupperware cabinet at least 6 times today! He's really trying to talk more these days. He's got "Dada", "Tuts" (for Tootsie), "ball", "Hi" and the Pig snort down. Some of his other new tricks include: the head butt (as a show of affection), one-handed peek-a-boo, and the high 5 (or high 20 as he like to give you multiple swats). I have to give him something to play with when I change his diaper b/c he rarely willingly stays still that long. I love that he still likes to cuddle when he's sleepy and I take full advantage of those cuddles b/c I know my days are limited! I also love that he gets so excited to see Mark when he comes home from work - he crawls at super speed to Mark and tugs on is pants til Mark picks him up, then he'll follow Mark around wherever he goes for the next 20 minutes. I don't know how much he weighs, but he's starting to outgrow his 12 month clothes - mostly in length AND he's MY child - go figure! He's crawling, cruising, and walking behind his push toy quite well. It's hard to believe he's almost 1 year old and that kids can learn and change so much in just one year. Below are a couple of videos showing off some of his tricks.

The 2nd & 3rd 1st Christmas

When you have a big family, sometimes you have to have multiple celebrationss in order to see everyone, so, Nash had 3 first Christmases! To be honest, trying to document them all was difficult and I got a little lazy by #3. But, they were all WONDERFUL! We stayed in town with Mark's family for the first half, then we went to my Dad's for the second half. We also managed to squeeze in my granddaddy's 90th birthday party in there too! Needless to say, we are exhausted and spent today resting and trying to recover from our vacation. Here are some of the pictures we got!

It was so cold I didn't even stay outside long enough to get a decent picture.
